Public Seminars 2019

The ACE Teams public training program has six modules that you can dip into as you please to create the development program required for each team member.  Since we want you to see a return on your investment each course is designed with 3 key elements.  


Part 1 - Pre-Work

This happens a month before the course starts when pre-work is provided to each individual enrolled on the program.  Research shows that when people commit to their development and take an active role they are more likely to use the knowledge they gain. The pre-work explains the commitment and preparation required which can range from completing some suggested reading, conducting some self-analysis, sending ACE Teams their specific challenges and strengths on the upcoming topic.  The pre-work also suggests and lays out a discussion between the course attendee and their line manager to set expectations and outcomes for after the course.  There is a page for the line manager to complete and return to ACE Teams so that we can remind them to take action at part 3.  This is designed to increase accountability for learning and post-course application.

Part 2 - The Course

This is the course delivery.  As per our promises, our courses are fun and engaging.  This leads to better understanding, retention and use of the tools and techniques taught.  Our courses are practical and action-orientated.  

Part 3 - Application

This is the most important part to yield a return on investment.  The sooner learning is applied the more likely it is to be useful.   Post-course action is planned in the final phases of each course so that each attendee knows what they will do and when.  This action plan is ideal to initiate a second discussion between the course attendee and their line manager to ensure on-the-job application.  The line manager has the most important role to provide accountability for action and is the main contributor to the success of any training program.  If the line manager submits the form at part 1, ACE Teams will send reminders and make it easy for the line manager to provide accountability with short, focused conversations with their team member.  As an optional extra, external support and coaching can be provided by an ACE Teams Accountability Coach in a 1:1, or group setting, to encourage application. 

 

14-15th May

This course is ‘time management’ on steroids!  It’s about using your mind and body to best effect to produce outstanding results.  You’ll be astounded at how effective you can be once you take ownership of your decisions and actions.  This course is essential for anyone seeking success and a better deal than the increasingly busy and unsatisfying lives that many people lead today.  It is time to manage your precious days and get the results you desire now.

9-10th July

The art of influence is an essential skill for anyone seeking to be successful, whether you want to sell a product to a customer or an idea to a team member.  Mastering Influence has been designed to provide an understanding of the way our brains take in information, make decisions and respond to their environments.  Armed with this understanding we can design influence attempts to encourage others to make decisions and change their behaviour.  If you work with people, the more effective you are at influencing positively, the more likely it is that you will be successful.  Act now to be as effective as you can.

20-21st August

As leaders, it is essential that we can inspire our team members to give their very best.  We also need to develop team members for future roles to ensure that our succession planning is effective and that our teams go from strength to strength.  Coaching and mentoring skills are critical to our success in this area.  This course is practical in nature and will provide you with tools and the opportunity to practice so that you are ready to coach your team to success.  Contact us today to accelerate the journey to becoming an exceptional leader.

 Confidence is a critical element for anyone to be successful and is a predictor of performance at work and in life.  Mike Catton designed this course in 2009 and has delivered it almost 50 times since then.  It is one of this favourite programs since people visibly change during the 2 days, developing confidence and self-esteem.  By the end of this practical course expect to be comfortable standing in front of a group delivering a presentation that is engaging and effective.  You’ll be amazed at how easy it can be as you master the art of speaking in public.  Act courageously now to overcome fear and grow in confidence today.

29-30th October

How we lead leaves a lasting impression on people, organisations and the wider community.  Right now, in this rapidly changing world, we need capable leaders more than ever.  What do you want your legacy to be?  There is no right way to lead and each of us must find a style that suits us.  This course is experiential in nature, giving you the opportunity to lead, be led and observe leaders.  Through discussion and reflection you’ll gain an insight into yourself and people that you’ll lead.  With awareness comes responsibility to control how we show up as leaders.  Decide now to be the best leader you can be.

26-27th November

 As leaders we are often called upon to train our team, facilitate meetings, chair discussions etc.  This course will provide you with a host of skills and practice, to thrive when called upon.  Attendance on the Speak Easy course is required in order to attend this course since it builds on the skills gained there.  Take the opportunity today, to improve your skill set, to train, and help others collaborate.

All courses are $1,495+GST each.   The course fee includes pre- and post-course elements outlined above, lunch and refreshments throughout the course.  Courses run from 9am to 4.30pm each day.  Companies can sponsor the 2019 program by committing to 6 course places for the year.  Discounts are available for sponsoring companies booking 10 or more places on courses each year on the public program.
